I’m begining to think that the majority of people are actually mentally unsound.
Working in a customer service/hospitality based position I am forced to deal with drones on a daily basis. Despite having worked in the position for well over a year I am continuously astounded at the general stupidity of the public. For instance, only minutes ago I answered the phone to a gentleman enquiring about accommodation for ten days starting this coming Monday. Unfortunately, on some days of his intended stay we were at full capacity, one of these days being a Saturday. Having regular cerebral function, I personally, do not find it unreasonable that a Boutique Hotel in one of Sydney’s most popular tourist areas that also happens to be the only hotel for three suburbs is booked out on a Saturday night (The following Saturday night, to be specific). The gentleman on the phone was bewildered and demanded to know why on earth we were so busy! Uuuuuuummm I’m sorry DIP SHIT we are running a fucking business, obviously our aim is to fill the hotel to its maximum capacity in order to make money. Since when are we expected to leave rooms aside for douche bags like you to book your holiday with two days notice?!
